Toward the Junipers

Toward the Junipers is an instrumental solo for steel string acoustic guitar composed in 2025.  The work was originally written for the California Botanic Garden's SOUNDWALK exhibit, organized by Andres Luz, joining the works of eight other composers on the project.  For this sound walk, nine composers were assigned a section of the garden for which to write music.  Listeners download the Echoes app and hear different compositions based on their GPS location in the park.  I was assigned a section in the northwest section of the garden featuring a number of Northern Juniper Pine trees, and wrote this work guiding listeners to that location.
